“Google Suggest” Found Liable for searches
Google Suggest is software developed by the leading search engine that shows the search result as soon as the letters of searched word is entered into the search line and changes right after the following letter. In a recent case in Italy an internet user sued Google for the service. The user claimed that the service was defamatory after he noticed that when his name is entered, the software came up with words like “fraud”. The claim of the user was found right and Google was ordered to correct inappropriate search result.
